"My maternal grandmother taught me to crochet and knit when I was 8 or 9. My mother made most of the clothes needed by me and my 2 sisters. I started making some of my own clothes when entering the 7th grade, and have done so ever since. When I was a freshman in college, the prof for clothing construction said that if she did not have plans to move, she would hire me to make clothing for her the next year.
I taught myself to cross-stitch +30 years ago and  joined the Littleton SewFlakes Quilting Quild 2 years ago upon retiring from teaching Family and Consumer Science (aka Home Economics) for 37 years.
Fiber, in one form or another has been an integral part of my whole life."
